My Stitch Fix Review #6

It’s here! My September Stitch Fix box arrived and I’m so excited to get into all the items that I received. This box was a little different than past ones since this was more for back to work than summer style. Also, you can get a $50 credit off your first box (until Aug 20th) with this link! After Aug 20th it will go back to a $25 credit. Let’s see what I got!

What is Stitch Fix?

For those of you who are new to the blog or to Stitch Fix here it what it is about.

Stitch fix is an online styling service where you can have your own personal stylist. When you go to Stitch Fix you will see that it is free to sign up. You can create a profile with clothing preferences. You also get the opportunity to put in your size information. When you are all done with that, you can schedule your first fix! Once you schedule your first fix you will pay a $20 styling fee and you will be matched with a stylist. They review your profile and hand select 5 items for you. The Stitch Fix box is then shipped to your home for free. Once you get the box you have 3 days to review the clothing and return any unwanted items. They even send you a return envelope to make it easy and free to return your items! One part about Stitch Fix I love is that if you purchase anything from the box, your $20 styling fee is deducted from the clothes that you keep. Ready to try it out? You can sign up for Stitch Fix today and build your profile.

Stitch Fix Review Item #1: White blouse

I have said it before in past posts and will say it again, I literally take items out of the box, try them on and take photos. This top came out a little wrinkled but it doesn’t matter. I had asked my stylist Bonnie to send me a few items form their new collection and this is one of them. It’s really cute! I paired it with a pair of jeans that I got in a previous fix for a fun and casual outfit. Although I am not allowed to wear jeans to work, I could still style this top with some nice slacks and have it look great. The top is not form fitting however still fits very nicely. I love that there is enough room but it doesn’t look like I’m in a bag. However, I am going to return this too because it’s white…and working with 5 years olds and wearing white don’t usually mix.

Stitch Fix Review Item #2: Green skinny pants

so how fun are these pants? I really like them! One of the best parts about them is that they have slack pockets in the back which means they’re safe for me to wear to work! I love this color as well. I have to admit that when I saw them I didn’t think I would like them but they actually are comfy. This is a color I would normally go past but I’m so glad Bonnie sent them to me. Usually when I am at work I wear Pixie Pants from Old Navy. They’re great but fade fast and don’t last very long. They aren’t much less than these pants either. It seems that Stitch Fix has a great price point when it comes to sending me pants. I’m still on the fence about keeping them, I need to see if I have enough or if I truly do need one more pair.

Stitch Fix Review Item #3: yellow floral skirt

Well hello there cutest yellow skirt that’s going to be a summer to fall staple in my wardrobe! Everyone, this skirt is life. I LOVE IT. The best part about this skirt is that there is an elastic waistband in the back. Now, even though it’s elastic this skirt was still a little tight for me. I’m going to be exchanging it for a different size. Im not one that likes my skirts tight at all so I tend to size up with all of them, and I will with this one as well. The versatility of this skirt is great. I can wear it with several different colored tops, a cardigan for fall or a tank top for summer. I can see this being a great addition to my wardrobe and I am going to keep it.

Stitch Fix Review Item #5: white flats

I paired the shoes that were sent to me with this outfit…perhaps Bonnie noticed in all my reviews I never wear shoes! These were comfortable and I really liked the look of them however I am a dedicated Rothy’s customer and I won’t stray from them. They truly do offer the best flats (pointed toe as well) and so I will be returning these. They matched the outfit really well though!

Stitch Fix Review Item #5: Polka Dot Dress

Now this is a dress I would have walked right by and thought how cute someone else would be in it. When I saw the dress I was unsure how I would like it. It had a great feel to it and it was really comfortable. I love that I could put some flip flops on with it and have an outfit. However it was cut a little small for me. I’m not sure how a larger size would fit, so I am going to pass on this dress. I do think I would request this style in the future though!

Stitch Fix Review Conclusion

As always, I had to refrain myself from buying TOO MUCH of this awesome stuff that was sent to me. And, for the nest 48 hours (until Aug 20th) if you sign up for Stitch Fix you will get a $50 credit off your first box! Just click this link to get started! The best part about Stitch Fix is that it is also non-committal so if you don’t want to move forward after your first box, you don’t have to. Trust me though, you will love what they send and keep going back!
