Well hey there October! I can’t believe that we are into my favorite season of the year! Although where I live the weather is always sunny and mid 80’s I still like to think that it is Fall. Let me tell you, this Stitch Fix box had ALL THE FALL THINGS in it as well. Last week when I got my box, I went to checkout and they asked if I would like a quick fix. Which means another box comes to you at the end of the week. UM, yes I want another box! Bonnie, my usual stylist is on maternity leave so Kortny took over this box and I have to say it was a real winner. I loved everything in it. Let’s take a look at what I got!
What is Stitch Fix?
For those of you who are new to the blog or to Stitch Fix here it what it is about.
Stitch fix is an online styling service where you can have your own personal stylist. When you go to Stitch Fix you will see that it is free to sign up. You can create a profile with clothing preferences. You also get the opportunity to put in your size information. When you are all done with that, you can schedule your first fix! Once you schedule your first fix you will pay a $20 styling fee and you will be matched with a stylist. They review your profile and hand select 5 items for you. The Stitch Fix box is then shipped to your home for free. Once you get the box you have 3 days to review the clothing and return any unwanted items. They even send you a return envelope to make it easy and free to return your items! One part about Stitch Fix I love is that if you purchase anything from the box, your $20 styling fee is deducted from the clothes that you keep. Ready to try it out? You can sign up for Stitch Fix today and build your profile.
Stitch Fix Review #1: Detail Knit Top
Ok, how cute is this top? I first want to say that this was one of the softest shirts I have been sent. I love it. It feels like I am wearing pajamas, and who doesn’t love that?! I also love that it is a basic top however there is a fun element in the back. It gives the shirt a little something extra. It is a great length and looks really nice paired with jeans. I am sure that I could also pair it with some black ponte pants for work and have it look cute!
I also like the sleeves on this top. They aren’t too short which can sometimes be a problem for me. I do have wider set shoulders so some tops just don’t look right. The neckline on this shirt is just slightly larger, making the sleeves a comfortable and cute length.
Stitch Fix Review #2: Button Down Top
This may look like your regular buffalo plaid shirt but I am here to tell you that you are SO wrong! This top is perfect for those of us who live where it’s hot all the time because it is lightweight and breathable. Sure, I love a plaid flannel shirt just like the next apple picking girl however they are not always the best option. This top is lightweight and so perfect for that fall look, even when the weather disagrees!
I am a big fan of this shirt as well since it is a little longer in the back. I like to know that I am covered when I am moving around. This shirt is also light weight enough that if it gets too hot you can wrap it around your waist with no problems!
Stitch Fix Item Review #3: Split Neck Blouse
Okay, so this top was sent to me in my last box as well, and I loved it. However I chose to send it back. It was a different pattern, but the same company and the same style. I was actually disappointed in myself that I decided to send it back so it was a pleasant surprise to see it again in this fix. I loved this one even more than the last!
This top is a navy color and the splashes are a lighter pink. I love it. It really is another great transition item to take me from summer to fall. The colors are great for this time of year and it pairs wonderful with a pair of jeans. I am wearing a pair of jeans from a previous fix for a more casual look, but I could also wear darker wash jeans for a more dressy look.
Again, this top is a high low cut making it great for me to wear and feel confident that I am still covered. I know that high waisted jeans are all the rage, and that is one way to stay covered but I don’t have any of those so I gotta do what I gotta do. This shirt is a keeper.
Stitch Fix Item Review #4: The Beloved Cardigan
Oh be still my teacher heart. The cardigan. Let me count the ways that I truly love you. I have yet to try on one that I don’t love and want to keep. This is a staple in my wardrobe and this one would be no different. I think that the theme of this box was “softest clothes ever” because this was another item that was so comfy I loved wearing it. I felt like I was in pajamas again! It was just tight enough to not look sloppy, but loose enough for me to feel comfortable when I am wearing it.
I love the colors on this as well. You would be able to pair it with so many different things! I love the cut and the fact that it is open in the front as well. It makes it moveable and I feel so awesome it in!
It is not too long which is also another plus. Often times when I get a cardigan it is really long and looks sloppy. This one is just the right length. The only complaint I do have is that there are no pockets. I wish that there were, this would be such a great cardigan! However I would not let that deter me from purchasing this. It is perfect for those mornings where there is a slight chill.
Stitch Fix Review Item #5: Jeans
I have said it once and I will say it again. I HATE JEAN SHOPPING! I hate it more than regular shopping. And that I really can’t stand (Hence my love for Stitch Fix.) When I took these jeans out of the box I was like no thank you, and almost put them back. It was Evan who told me to try them on and just give them a chance. Well, I did and I love them! Going with the theme of this box, these are super soft jeans. I love that they are higher waisted as well. Didn’t I just say that I don’t have a pair like that? Evan also really liked them which is always a plus.
This could be my favorite picture of me haha. You can see how high the waist is and I am loving it. Kortny sent me my regular size however due to the natural waist where they are supposed to sit, these ones are a little loose. I am going to be exchanging them for a smaller size.
It is a little hard to see but the bottom of them is not hemmed which is a nice touch. I would have never picked these up for myself if I was in the store but I am glad that they were sent to me because I really like them! They are keepers for sure!
Stitch Fix Review Conclusion
So was this box a 5/5? YES! Yes it was! Now I know that I am always saying that I am frugal when it comes to the boxes and I try to only buy one item out of each box despite my love for more of it, but I am going to be keeping this box. All of this box. These items are awesome and I felt great in all of them. They also go well with some items I already have. It has been about 6 months since I have purchased a whole box so I can say that I don’t do this often. I am also super happy to say that I love it all and I know that I will be wearing all of these items this season!
